Sustainability Initiatives of JVCKENWOOD
Based on the corporate philosophy of "Creating excitement and peace of mind for the people of the world," JVCKENWOOD promotes sustainability management with dual principles of "profitable growth" and "solving social issues on a global scale."
Across various aspects of ESG, JVCKENWOOD is working on initiatives including those which reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote resource recycling, address human rights risks, promote human capital management, and strengthen corporate governance and compliance. In FY2025, ESG-related indicators (employee engagement, CO2 emissions reduction, and external ESG assessments) were added to the KPIs used to evaluate executive performance, thereby reflecting efforts to address sustainability issues in management evaluations.
In addition, JVCKENWOOD has positioned sustainability as one of its core management strategies in new medium-term management plan "VISION 2030," and has re-identified five material issues in light of changes in the business environment. Looking ahead, JVCKENWOOD will establish new KPIs and work on ongoing monitoring to achieve them.
JVCKENWOOD believes that inclusion for the FTSE JPX Indices demonstrates that our specific initiatives across various aspects of ESG have led to a positive comprehensive evaluation. JVCKENWOOD will continue to further enhance the promotion of sustainability management and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
