General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S) Public Safety looks back at a successful CCME2014

GDC4S presented live demonstrations of public safety applications hosted on the VCN across a simulated public safety network.

This show is part of the Critical Communications World Series and it is focused on the evolution of Public Safety or PPDR (Public Protection and Disaster Relief) communications from the existing legacy systems of TETRA (and P25) to 4th Generation 3GPP 4G LTE.

The Critical Communications show in this region is for GDC4S particularly relevant because significant steps have already been taken in this part of the world down the path toward widespread 4G LTE deployment for PPDR.

GDC4S featured their cutting-edge Band 20 (800 MHz) eNodeB(lue) on a VCN with COTS handsets, ruggedized handsets and vehicle routers connected. The GDC4S eNodeBlue is a single carrier 4G LTE based station packaged into an affordable, compact, rugged, water and dust resistant enclosure. It is fully FirstNet-compatible and the size and durability of the eNodeBlue make it ideal for situations where critical infrastructure is damaged or where network capacity needs to be rapidly expanded or deployed.

GDC4S also hosted live demonstrations of public safety applications hosted on the VCN across a simulated public safety network.
