Technology and Tactics for Today’s and Tomorrow‘s Operations Using Public Safety Digital Radio

This year, PMRExpo‘s International Public Safety Forum will once again unite top- class experts, users and operators from various European countries. Public Safety Digital Radio experts will be presenting a selection of current developments in safety-critical communications in their respective countries and discuss different technological concepts and goals with the audience.

As in 2013, the International Public Safety Forum will be chaired by Finnish Critical Communications Professional Tero Pesonen. The panel of experts will interact with the audience to answer questions such as: In what way should working practices and methods be improved in order to meet current and future needs? Is there an obvious solution for all types of communication during an operation or is the answer a combination of several systems? Do uniform solutions for European countries even exist? Do different needs justify additional costs?

Experiences and Future Expectations in European Countries

The following speakers have already confirmed their attendance:

Tor Helge Lyngstøl, Director General at the Norwegian Directorate for Emergency Communication, talks about experiences with TEDS (TETRA Enhanced Data Services) in safety-critical communications operations in his country.

Heikki Riippa, Senior Advisor at the National Police Headquarters in Finland, shares how the Finnish police handles operations in the field by applying the next generation “one-touch-principle“.

Airwave solution’s Future Development Manager Ross McIndoe has agreed to speak at the forum as well. He assesses the progress that has been made in broadband data transmission for public safety in Great Britain.

"The first International Public Safety Forum at PMRExpo 2013 was an excellent debut. The participants seemed to be thoroughly pleased with the quality of the discussions and conversations about public safety. I am sure that this year’s topics and speakers will allow us to offer a high-quality forum to our expert public safety audience”, discussion chair Tero Pesonen believes.

Attendance of the International Public Safety Forum is free of any additional charge for all visitors with a valid fair ticket.
