InterTalk Advances Enlite Dispatch Console with Broad Q1 2026 Feature Update

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

New capabilities span messaging, radio operations, audio management, and system security.

InterTalk Critical Information Systems has released a substantial update to its Enlite dispatch console platform, delivering a range of new features across Q1 2026 designed to enhance dispatcher efficiency, operational flexibility, and system security for public safety and critical infrastructure organisations.
Among the most operationally significant additions is expanded messaging visibility, with Enlite now displaying real-time SMS and MMS delivery status — including Queued, Sent, Delivered, and Failed indicators — giving operators immediate confirmation that critical messages have reached their intended recipients.

On the radio operations side, the update introduces canned P25 tone messages, enabling agencies to send standardised tone-based signals quickly and consistently across P25 networks. Complementing this is a new hot swapping capability, allowing radio resources to be activated on demand rather than permanently occupying screen space — a practical improvement for high-tempo dispatch environments where screen clarity is essential.

Dispatcher workflow customisation has also been enhanced. Channel colours for on-screen radio resources are now fully configurable, improving at-a-glance identification of priority channels. The dial pad has been converted from a fixed menu item into a configurable widget, giving agencies greater control over console layout. A new Fine Adjustment Mode in the mission editor further allows pixel-level precision when arranging interface elements.

The update also strengthens telephony functionality, with dispatchers now able to send DTMF tones during active calls — useful for navigating IVR systems or controlling remote equipment without leaving the console environment. A new Macro Action for audio movement allows automated, event-driven routing of audio streams between devices, reducing manual intervention during complex or emergency scenarios.

From a security and IT integration standpoint, Enlite now supports Single Sign-On (SSO) via OpenID Connect, enabling authentication through existing corporate identity providers such as Microsoft Azure AD, removing the need for separate Enlite-specific credentials.

Further quality-of-life improvements include an embedded Help Search function for rapid in-console documentation access, and enhanced IRR recording downloads now available in widely compatible WAV and MP4 formats, replacing the previously limited .weba format.

The Q1 2026 update reflects InterTalk's continued investment in Enlite as a flexible, enterprise-ready dispatch platform capable of supporting both legacy radio environments and modern broadband-integrated operations.
