First Due Partners with NextNav to Provide First Responder Vertical Location and 3D Visualization

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

extNav (Nasdaq: NN), a leader in next-generation 3D geolocation technology, has announced a formal partnership with First Due, an all-in-one AI-powered platform for fire and emergency medical services (EMS) agencies. This collaboration aims to integrate NextNav’s vertical location and 3D visualization technology into fire and EMS operations, providing these agencies with a powerful new tool for personnel accountability and improving critical communications.

The partnership will enable incident commanders to visualize not only the horizontal location of personnel but also their vertical positioning. By utilizing a NextNav 3D wireframe view of buildings within First Due’s Incident Command and Response solution, commanders on the scene can precisely pinpoint the real-time location of personnel inside tall or complex structures. This advanced capability supports faster and more informed decision-making during emergencies, enhancing responder safety and operational awareness. Consequently, both front-line personnel and their command teams will be better equipped to make tactical choices in high-pressure situations.
