HENSOLDT to Provide Munich Security Conference 2025 with Record Number of TETRA terminals

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

HENSOLDT ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH supplied TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) communication solutions for the 61st edition of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) to Stadtwerke München. The 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC) will take place from February 14 to 16, 2025, at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich.

Stadtwerke München installed two TETRA base stations in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof and integrating them into their highly available and secure TETRA network. This ensures uninterrupted and secure TETRA communication in the hotel itself and in the relevant surrounding area.

The MSC, renowned for its critical discussions on global security issues, demands impeccable communication infrastructure to ensure seamless coordination among participants and security personnel. HENSOLDT and ESG have risen to this challenge by implementing state-of-the-art TETRA technology, renowned for its robustness and security features.

TETRA technology offers encrypted, mission-critical communication capabilities, ensuring that all exchanges remain confidential and protected from potential threats. Its resilience and reliability make it the preferred choice for high-profile events like the MSC, where the stakes are exceptionally high.

Already back in in 2013 Airbus Public Safety and Security supported the confrence with the TH1n TETRA radio device,  that is still recognized as the world's smallest TETRA radio.
