GeoComm Acquires Oregon-based GIS Company GeoSolve, Inc
The acquisition, effective January 1, 2016, merges resources of two public safety GIS companies and allows for continued service to GeoSolve customers in meeting their GIS and MSAG obligations within the State of Oregon.
In name, location, staffing and services, GeoSolve will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GeoComm. With the acquisition, the GeoSolve team will continue to provide the same E9-1-1 services and also leverage GeoComm’s:
- Experience with Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) initiatives. GeoComm is the NG9-1-1 GIS provider for many states who have taken – or are taking – the journey to NG9-1-1.
- Extensive set of GIS data management tools and technologies. GeoSolve customers will now have access to additional resources with the integration of GeoComm’s GIS data management tools.
Deb Rozeboom (PMP, ENP, GISP) has joined GeoSolve as its General Manager. Deb will be working closely with the team in GeoSolve’s office in Albany, Oregon. Deb is a public safety GIS professional with over 12 years’ experience consulting and leading numerous GIS, E9-1-1, and NG9-1-1 projects with GeoComm. Her experience includes large-scale software implementations, GIS data development, GIS analysis, and NG9-1-1 GIS solution implementations. She has experience ranging from single counties to states and large urban regions, as well as the Federal Government.
“GeoComm is delighted with the GeoSolve acquisition and we are fully committed to maintaining the high level of service customers have experienced with GeoSolve,” said John Bryant, GeoComm President & CEO. “The future is bright as we continue to enhance the way we manage and implement GIS data for 9-1-1 and we look forward to working with the GeoSolve team on this journey.”
“GeoComm is an excellent partner for GeoSolve and we are excited about this transition,” stated Shirley Corbett, former GeoSolve President. “Our customers can be assured the transition will be smooth and the high level of service will continue.”
