Plymouth-developed devices remain compatible with the existing Audax 20-1 ecosystem, allowing organisations to upgrade without replacing infrastructure.

Audax has unveiled the latest generation of its body-worn video cameras at the International Security Show (ISE) at London Olympia. The company introduced the new Audax 20-6 and an upgraded Audax Bio AX. Both cameras are aimed at security, retail, transport and public-sector organisations that need improved performance from their body-worn video equipment. The launch gives existing customers a way to adopt new camera technology while retaining their current investment.

The 20-6 is the successor to the Audax 20-1. It features a 165-degree wide-angle lens for an extended field of view, 4-megapixel imaging and USB-C connectivity across the camera. It also offers enhanced battery technology and a robust design intended for demanding operational environments.

Compatibility is central to the launch. The 20-6 works with the existing Audax 20-1 ecosystem, so organisations can introduce the new cameras alongside the 20-1 devices they already operate. Customers can therefore upgrade in stages rather than replacing an entire system, which protects their investment and keeps the transition cost-effective.

The Bio AX has also been updated. The refreshed model combines enhanced technology with a new colour and a revised appearance. It retains the advanced connectivity and operational features aimed at organisations with more demanding body-worn video requirements.

Both cameras are developed and supported in Plymouth, UK, which continues Audax’s positioning as a British designer of body-worn video technology. The ISE London showing marks the first public presentation of the 20-6 and the upgraded Bio AX.
