40 delegates from 18 European national PPDR network operators and several commercial mobile network operators (MNOs) gathered in Amsterdam for a two-day meeting hosted by TCCA.

Key sessions included TJ Kennedy, former President of FirstNet and now Principal in The Public Safety Network in the USA. Kennedy presented on the procurement process and lessons learned from developing the partnership between FirstNet and AT&T.

TCCA Chief Executive Tony Gray said: "TCCA is delighted to be leading this initiative to bring our critical communications operator members together with their commercial counterparts. We are pleased to note that several commercial MNOs have become TCCA members in order to pursue this engagement and learning between the different parties."

The discussion will continue, not least at the industry’s flagship Critical Communications World event this year held in Berlin from 15-17 May, where representatives of the critical communications community and their commercial counterparts will all be involved.
