Lenzi will work alongside Tero Pesonen to support the ongoing development and strategic direction of the CCBG, contributing to initiatives that strengthen the mission-critical communications ecosystem across Europe and beyond.

The Critical Communications Broadband Group (CCBG) has announced the appointment of Massimo Lenzi, Vice President of Offer & Solution Engineering for Leonardo Cyber & Security, as its new vice-chair.

In welcoming the appointment, CCBG Chair Tero Pesonen stated:

"I am happy to have such an experienced professional as the vice chair, and thank Leonardo for enabling Massimo to invest his time for the common good in the critical communications community."

Lenzi succeeds Luz Fernandez del Rosal of Bundesanstalt für den Digitalfunk (BDBOS). The Group extends its appreciation to Ms. Fernandez del Rosal for the significant progress achieved under her leadership and for her valued contributions throughout her tenure.

With a career spanning more than 25 years in mission-critical communications, Lenzi brings extensive technical expertise, a strong understanding of end-user requirements, and clear strategic insight into the evolving market landscape. He has been a consistent advocate for the sector’s transition towards broadband and is a strong supporter of advancement towards the EUCCS framework in Europe.

Reflecting on his new role, Lenzi commented:

“I am strongly convinced that only the establishment of an open and competitive environment, through standard solutions, can lead to the success of broadband mission critical communications. It is an honour and a pleasure to provide a contribution as CCBG vice-chair for the success of the broadband technology and solutions.”

As vice-chair, Lenzi will work alongside Pesonen to support the ongoing development and strategic direction of the CCBG, contributing to initiatives that strengthen the mission-critical communications ecosystem across Europe and beyond.
