Satcube, a fast-growing European technology company that develops lightweight terminals to provide high-speed satellite broadband connectivity, today announced that Intelsat ordered 100 portable satellite terminals, marking a significant milestone in volume orders.

The relationship between Satcube and Intelsat started in 2017 with integration and delivery of Satcube Ku portable terminals on the Intelsat FlexMove network. During this time, the demand for portable satellite connectivity has seen tremendous growth worldwide supporting rapid deployment scenarios like emergency response, disaster recovery, and remote news gathering.

- “We are serving a multitude of high-profile market segments where the demand for the Satcube Ku to fulfill the critical need of ultra-quick, seamless connectivity in a variety of communication scenarios is exploding,” says Robert Mellberg, Chief Commercial Officer at Satcube.” It’s incredibly gratifying to see our terminal technology and lightweight solution helping emergency responders, military in critical communication or key information to researchers in remote locations.”

-“In this era of data driven decision making, the ability to access information wherever and whenever it’s needed is mission critical,” said Richard Snaith, Managing Sales Director, Global Government and Space, at Intelsat. “The Intelsat Ku satellite network combined with the Satcube terminals allows us to deliver convenient, secure, broadband connectivity to a terminal that’s easy for customers to transport, set up and use.”

In Q1, Satcube announced the construction of a new, state-of-the-art high-production facility in Karlstad, Sweden, to further support its regional supply line business model, current growth trajectory, anticipated volume orders and new business models. Recognized as a flourishing technology provider, Satcube is experiencing rapid expansion in its teams in Gothenburg and Karlstad, Sweden, to support the growing demand for its portable satellite terminals.

Today, the provider of portable terminals is already serving major NGO’s, media brands, and government agencies to enable critical communications including major weather events, and all types of crisis communication scenarios.
