SafetyNet Critical Communications (SafetyNet) Chief Executive, Steve Ferguson, is pleased to share that Liz Belke will join the new government critical communications company as its inaugural Head of Enabling Services in October.

“We’re excited to welcome onboard a business leader of Liz’s calibre and especially impressed with the deep emergency services experience she’s bringing to our young organisation. She has the perfect blend of leadership, governance and strategy expertise and aligned values,” Steve Ferguson said.

The Head of Enabling Services role provides leadership across SafetyNet’s integrated enabling functions, including people capability, regulatory and risk management, commercial stewardship, property and workforce wellbeing.

Liz Belke says,

“It’s a thrill to join SafetyNet now with 30,000 emergency services responders using its cellular services and as it starts onboarding more public safety organisations. SafetyNet’s enabling services are a powerful part of the organisation’s ability to do this at pace and scale for the customer demand out there for more reliable and resilient critical communications.

“My passion is very much for the people creating, delivering and ensuring these Public Safety Network services as well as those using them, and the communities they serve.”

Steve says,

“Liz’s experience within the emergency-services environment, combined with her leadership of organisational support functions, will be invaluable as we continue building a strong, resilient and high-performing organisation focused on delivering shared emergency grade communications for our customers, ultimately benefitting our communities."
