Flash PMN Sponsors Rotterdam Zoo with DMR and paging solutions

Source: MCCResources

Flash Private Mobile Networks, a major Dutch radio communications solutions specialist, has donated Rotterdam Zoo a digital DMR radio communications network.

The new communications network guarantees 100% accessibility and thus safety for the employees of the Rotterdam zoo.

Rotterdam Zoo is still using analog radios and pagers and a repeater, but they experienced coverage problems in the Oceanarium. In order to ensure the indoor safety of employees Flash will replace the old system by a digital communication network based on the Digital Mobile Radio standard.

Future-proof solution
The digital communication network will consist of a Hytera DMR network and a Swissphone paging network, including two repeaters, 61 radios and 30 pagers. In addition the Flash Smart Control will link the communication systems from where it is possible to send pre-programmed or manual text or voice messages to selected handsets or pagers. The new communication system addresses the range problem and offers Rotterdam Zoo a future-proof communication solution.

The advantages of digital technology
The Hytera digital radio communication solution offers more functionality, capacity and range than the old analog radio communications system. The use of digital technology offers Blijdorp twice as much call capacity, improved digital sound quality, more battery power and more data applications.
