Pro-M Zrt. Announces Membership of e EOSC GRAVITY Consortium

Pro-M Zrt., the operator of the Hungarian Public Safety and Critical Communications network has joined the EOSC GRAVITY consortium, one of the key building blocks for the future of EOSC (European Open Science Cloud). The project supports the development of a safe, sustainable and collaborative European research ecosystem, the EOSC Federation.

The EOSC GRAVITY project launched in June 2025.

The project, implemented in cooperation with Belgium, Austria, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland, which facilitates the operation of EOSC, will last until the end of 2027. Its main goal is to prepare the operational and governance framework of EOSC after 2027, based on sustainable and collaborative principles, and to support the transition to it.

EOSC’s long-term social goal is to promote innovation and the practical use of scientific results through open, standardized and legally compliant management of research data. To this end, the Gravity project also supports the revision of the EOSC Strategic and Innovation Agenda.

EOSC GRAVITY also addresses the EOSC communities and research institutions of the countries concerned. Its aim is to involve stakeholders, including through funding through open calls for proposals, the creation of EOSC nodes, and the development of new services. The planned EOSC Academy will contribute to the dissemination of EOSC knowledge, with particular regard to the functioning of the emerging EOSC Federation.

Pro-M Zrt. takes a key role in developing the coordination framework, actively supports the involvement of domestic and Central and Eastern European partners, thereby strengthening the role of the region in the European research ecosystem. The Company plays a role in building connections with other open science projects through the organization of professional events, training courses, and outreach activities.

It is particularly important for Pro-M Zrt. to participate in European-level initiatives that contribute to the scientific and technological competitiveness of Hungary.
