Sepura Upgrades Training Facilities at Cambridge Headquarters

Sepura has refreshed its dedicated training room at its Cambridge headquarters, creating an upgraded facility designed to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training courses delivered to partners and customers across the critical communications sector.

The investment reflects the company's ongoing commitment to ensuring that those working with its portfolio of TETRA terminals, applications and accessories are equipped with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to maximise the value of their communications systems.

Training delivered at the facility covers Sepura's full range of products and is conducted exclusively by professionals certified under the Training Accreditation Programme (TAP), a framework that sets rigorous standards for content delivery and learner engagement. The TAP accreditation ensures a consistent and high-quality experience for all delegates, regardless of the course undertaken.

Central to the facility upgrade is the installation of a new TETRA base station, supplied in partnership with Danish infrastructure specialist DAMM Cellular Systems. The base station enables trainers to run realistic, hands-on exercises that closely replicate operational environments, giving participants direct exposure to live infrastructure conditions during their sessions. The addition is expected to significantly strengthen Sepura's ability to deliver technically demanding training that reflects the realities of critical communications deployments.

Commenting on the investment, Clive Jackson, Customer Support Manager at Sepura, said the upgrade represented an essential step in maintaining training standards appropriate to the demands of the sector. Jackson highlighted that the refreshed space gives trainers greater flexibility to demonstrate technical concepts clearly, while allowing delegates to engage directly with the equipment — an approach well-suited to an industry where reliability and operational expertise are paramount.
