Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) has been chosen by the City of Winchester, Virginia to assess with the updating of the City’s Computer Assisted Dispatching (CAD), Mobile Dispatch Systems (MDS) and Records Management System (RMS).

Winchester officials explained:

“We have four major objectives for this project: Project Management and Planning, Needs Assessment and Analysis, the Development of a Specification Document, and Assisting with the selection process of a vendor. The City desires to acquire new systems that will offer opportunities to improve internal processes, provide integration with existing software systems, maximize software utility by expanding the public safety system components used, reduce operating costs, and provide a greater interface with citizens.”

Federal Engineering’s Mr. Don Nagle, Vice President of Operations, 911/ECC Practices, said:

“FE is working closely with City stakeholders to assess their needs and document requirements for the public safety software solution. The desired solution will provide flexibility, redundancy, and mobility while capitalizing on the latest best practices in public safety information technology. FE appreciates that each client and every technology upgrade or replacement is unique. We will tailor our solutions and project approach to fit their needs, designing customized results that solve their unique challenges. FE consultants have extensive backgrounds in assessing and implementing shared and multiagency solutions. Not only have we led law, fire, EMS and ECC upgrades, we have also helped agencies define requirements and implement solutions that support each service.”
