Santa Fe Has Awarded Federal Engineering a Contract for PSAP Operations Consulting

The Santa Fe County Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC), New Mexico has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) a contract to perform a current conditions assessment, operational analysis with staffing study, and a technology analysis.

According to Mr. Elias Bernardino, Deputy County Manager, “Federal Engineering has been providing consulting services to Santa Fe for several years and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the county’s unique requirements. With extensive experience in assessing Emergency Management operations, policy, procedures, and technology, Federal Engineering has offered valuable insights to Santa Fe. The county will undoubtedly benefit from FE’s in-depth knowledge acquired through their work with similar organizations across North America.”

Mr. Jeffrey Paré, Director of Business Development for Federal Engineering provided a vignette of the project: “This project will be performed in three phases:

  1. Phase 1: Current Conditions Analysis which will include data collection, stakeholder Interviews and observations, and delivery of a Current Conditions Analysis report.
  2. Phase 2: Staffing Study and Operations Review which will include a managerial and administrative structure assessment, hiring and training program review, operational review, quality assurance review, and delivery of a Staffing and Operations Review report.
  3. Phase 3: Technical Review which will include an assessment of the center’s use of technology including CAD, and preparation for NG9-1-1 and delivery of the Santa Fe RECC Technology Review Report.”
