The UK, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) are now successfully connected to the Emergency Services Network (ESN).

ESN Connect is a SIM which has been installed in each of the mobile data terminals (MDTs), inside BFRS fire engines, allowing a swift and secure data connection to the network.

When firefighters use their MDTs, to find out vital details about emergencies they are attending, they now have fast 4G access to data.

The connection has been made by employing DNSP technology and a managed firewall, using Motorola Solutions’ cloud-based CommandCentral control room solution (CommandCentral CRS) and linking to the MDTs fitted with ESN Connect SIM cards which connect devices to the ESN data service.
