ASTRID Introduces eSIM for Blue Light Mobile Subscribers
Digital alternative to the physical SIM card is offered through My ASTRID, the renewed subscription management platform.
ASTRID has introduced the eSIM for Blue Light Mobile, giving subscribers the option of a digital alternative to the traditional physical SIM card. The move expands the possibilities of the Blue Light Mobile service, which provides priority, reliable and secure mobile voice and data communications for rescue and security services in Belgium.
The eSIM is offered via My ASTRID, the renewed subscription management platform. According to ASTRID, the technology allows users to activate their mobile subscription faster and more easily, without having to insert or replace a physical SIM card. It also offers more flexibility, enhanced security and simplified administrative management.
“For Blue Light Mobile users, this means faster activation, greater ease of use, increased security and less administrative burden,”
said Loris Beerten, Product & Services Manager at ASTRID.
Switching to the eSIM is not mandatory. Existing physical SIM cards continue to work and can still be ordered, so organisations can adopt the digital option at their own pace.
With the introduction of the eSIM, ASTRID is supporting the increasing digitalisation of mobile communications and the changing needs of rescue and security services. Blue Light Mobile delivers its services via the networks of the three Belgian telecom operators
