Private LTE network with bodycam video integration already operational in Ceará state penitentiary system

Teltronic, a leading provider of mission-critical communications technology, participated this week in the 2nd Exchange Week of Specialized Criminal Police of Brazil, held in Fortaleza. The event, hosted by the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration and Resocialization of Ceará, brought together approximately 100 tactical criminal police officers from 18 Brazilian states for a week of practical exercises and knowledge exchange between the country's specialised prison forces.

The gathering provided Teltronic with a timely platform to demonstrate its critical communications portfolio to senior public safety professionals from across Brazil's penitentiary system. Of particular note was the live showcasing of a private LTE network already deployed and operational within the state of Ceará — a system purpose-built to serve the state's penitentiary infrastructure.

The solution integrates real-time video transmission from agents' body-worn cameras over the private LTE network, alongside seamless connectivity with Teltronic's TETRA radio network. The combination provides penitentiary personnel with a unified, resilient communications environment covering both voice coordination and situational awareness through live video feeds.

The event underlined growing demand within Brazil's law enforcement and corrections sector for communications systems that go beyond traditional voice radio, with interoperability between broadband data services and established TETRA infrastructure increasingly viewed as a critical operational requirement.

Teltronic's presence at the exercise reflects the company's broader strategy of engaging directly with frontline professionals, positioning its integrated technology as a practical enabler for safer and more effective operations in high-security environments.
