EDR support during the 40th Hungarian Grand Prix ensures crucial communications at the Hungaroring.

The Hungaroring, this weekend, held the 40th Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix in 2025. For secure and stable EDR (TETRA) coverage in the newly refurbished paddock building, preparations began in February.

Public authorities, organizers, and security teams need dependable radio communication in the paddock, the technical heart of the race weekend. By early May, implementation plans were complete.

An indoor system with 24 antennas and roughly 1,000 metres of cable was installed by month's end.

TETRA coverage was verified by comprehensive radio measurements throughout the circuit before the Grand Prix weekend. Pro-M Zrt., the operator of the Hungarian Public Safety TETRA and Critical communications Nework, supplied on-site radio support during the event, working with public safety authorities to guarantee smooth communication.

Pro-M Zrt., also gave Pest County Police Headquarters more portable radios from their reserve stock to assist the increased police presence.

Pro-M Zrt on Social Media stated:

The engineers and technicians of Pro-M Zrt.'s thorough planning and excellent implementation made the EDR service successful again. Their professionalism and attention on site are commendable.

The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix was won by Lando Norris (McLaren), with Oscar Piastri (McLaren) in second place and George Russell (Mercedes) in third.
