SinON Secures Rail Operations with Kontron MCX Solution
With the Kontron MCx, SinON gains a modern train radio solution in an operating model optimized for secondary lines
Today, Kontron announced that Schieneninfrastruktur Ost-Niedersachsen GmbH (SinON) has selected their MCx train radio solution to modernize communication across its rail network.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of the state of Lower Saxony, SinON operates, maintains and develops a rail network covering around 260 km.
With the Kontron MCx, SinON gains a modern train radio solution in an operating model optimized for secondary lines. This already enables the use of future-oriented functions of the FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) train radio, which go far beyond the possibilities of classic analog radio and GSM.
