Icom UK Backs Record Fundraising at Charity Golf Day with PTToC

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

Slaley Hall Golf Club held its annual Captain's Charity Day on 17 July, raising a record £25,500 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Tynedale Hospice at Home. Icom UK supported the event with IP503H LTE handsets, with Callum Stockley and Matthew Luckhurst taking part.

The event, run by dealer Apex Radio Systems, involved 96 golfers and volunteers.

Amy Malone, Event Coordinator at Apex Radio Systems, said:

"Using the Icom IP503H radios throughout the day was invaluable. Coordinating a large-scale event with 96 golfers, multiple competitions and volunteers spread across the course would have been incredibly challenging without them. The nationwide LTE coverage, crystal-clear audio and reliability gave us complete confidence that everyone stayed connected from start to finish. A brilliant piece of kit."

Icom UK congratulated captain and Apex Radio Managing Director Ian Curry, along with organisers and volunteers, on a successful event.
