UK Local Authority Enforcement Team Moves from DMR to Push-to-Talk over Cellular with Eemits Communications
A prominent local authority enforcement team in the UK has transitioned from traditional Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) to Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) technology, as part of a new 60-month Managed Service contract with Eemits Communications.
The solution is underpinned by Eemits' TRBOCALL platform — a recently launched flagship communication system combining infrastructure, hardware, bespoke software and digital features into a single managed solution. Already adopted by a range of high-profile customers across multiple industries, TRBOCALL is designed to streamline critical operations through two-way radio communication, improving safety, productivity and operational efficiency.
The deployment includes multi-network roaming SIMs to ensure optimal cellular coverage across 3G, 4G, 5G, and WiFi infrastructure.
Hardware deployed includes the Telox TE320 handheld device — an IP67-rated, MIL-STD-810 certified PoC radio — and the Telox M6 desktop unit for control room use. Key operational features include GPS tracking with geofencing, lone worker monitoring, and panic alarm functionality.
The contract includes a full service wrap covering technical support, same-day on-site response, system redundancy, and ongoing software updates.
