President of the National Federation of Firefighters of France Visits ACMOSS

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

The President of the National Federation of Firefighters of France (FNSPF), Mr. Jean-Paul Bosland, visited ACMOSS on September 25. This visit happened just before the big national firefighter congress that will take place Le Mans next month.

The main purpose was to view a new, modern radio system for firefighters and other emergency crews in action. This system, called the "Radio Network of the Future" or RRF, is designed to be a very secure and reliable way for teams to communicate during emergencies.

The new system allows crews to share important information they couldn't easily share before, like live video, photos, and their exact location on a map. This helps them work together better and respond more effectively.

During his visit, Mr. Bosland witnessed a live demonstration of the new radio equipment. He also toured the central critical control room, where the network is monitored 24/7 to ensure it's always on.

Mr. Bosland was impressed with the system. He stated,

“This new radio network is exactly what our emergency services need to modernize their communications. For it to work perfectly, it’s essential that ACMOSS and our local fire departments continue to work closely together.”

The RRF is no longer just a test project. It is already being used by fire departments in different parts of France, including the Loire and Bouches-du-Rhône areas. In these regions, firefighters have used the system in daily training and exercises, proving that it is strong, reliable, and ready for real emergencies.

People can learn more about this new radio system at the upcoming National Congress of French Firefighters in Le Mans from October 8-11, where ACMOSS will have a booth.
