"Wireless has quickly become a critical service for businesses and consumers and Arqiva is at the very heart of this sector in the UK”

Arqiva, the communications infrastructure and media services company, has appointed Nicolas Ott as Managing Director of its Government, Mobile & Enterprise business.

Ott joins Arqiva from the UK’s largest mobile operator, Everything Everywhere, where he was the vice-president for Strategy, Regulation and Planning, and prior to that for Orange UK. He has also been Chief of Staff to the Chairman & CEO of France Telecom group.

Arqiva owns around 20 per cent of the UK’s mobile network infrastructure and its clients include all the UK mobile operators.

"Wireless has quickly become a critical service for businesses and consumers and Arqiva is at the very heart of this sector in the UK”, said Nicolas Ott. “There are so many opportunities in the UK where wireless data networks can be used to drive economic growth, improve people’s lives and help deliver better public services to citizens. It’s a very exciting time to be joining Arqiva.”

As well as providing sites and services to the UK cellular operators, Arqiva’s Government, Mobile & Enterprise (GME) business also specialises in providing shared wireless infrastructure and services for private mobile radio including support for the emergency services, local authorities and commercial enterprises.

John Cresswell, Arqiva CEO, added: "Nicolas is a great addition to the Arqiva team. He has that combination of experience, market insight and creative vision which will be invaluable to us as we look to grow the business and take advantage of the ever-increasing mobile data opportunities out there."
