Ericsson and du Join to Accelerate UAE Government and Enterprise Digital Transformation with Private 5G Networks

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (EITC), announce their strategic agreement to supply Ericsson Private 5G Networks, a wireless network product, to UAE government and enterprise sectors for smart services.

The next-generation Ericsson Private 5G private business critical communications network provides safe and dependable 4G and 5G connection for business-critical operations. Ericsson Private 5G supports and adapts to a variety of use cases and sectors, enabling sophisticated and intelligent operations in any environment while securing data on site.

Ericsson and du will build innovative private 4G and 5G networks together. UAE organizations can integrate breakthrough data-driven solutions with Ericsson Private 5G, an easy-to-use network with intelligent and secure connectivity. Ericsson will collaborate with du to improve government and enterprise connectivity, developing private networks for Industry 4.0 adoption and smart services to accelerate the country's digital transformation.

Through Networks, IT-Managed Services, and Business Support Systems, Ericsson and du have collaborated for years. du previously hired Ericsson to deliver its cutting-edge 5G radio access network (RAN) technologies and solutions to upgrade their network infrastructure. Recently, du and Ericsson announced a five-year strategic agreement to modernize du's IT operations.
