Astronics Test Systems Announce Firmware Release 4.4 for FREEDOM LMR Communications System Analyzers

This release supports multiple major new features, including:

  • AutoTune for Kenwood/EFJ Viking VP5000/6000 portables and VM5/6/7000 mobiles
  • Significant enhancements to the R8200 VNA, such as:
  • Ability to save and recall trace data for Return Loss/VSWR and Distance-to-Fault displays
  • Ability to import and export trace configuration filesAbility to export trace data and display images with text ID overlay
  • Addition of SITE ID and GPS Latitude/Longitude fields
  • Trace memory and trace math for Return Loss, VSWR and Distance-to-Fault measurements
  • Improved menu system for greater ease of use

DMR test mode enhancements:

  • BER test for Kenwood 3000/5000 Series Radios
  • Display of DMR Tier 3 Network ID information

P25 Explicit Mode Trunking enhancements:

  • Support for up to 16 Channel ID's per bandplan
  • Ability to save, export and import bandplans
