The focus of the visit was driven by the request from Hytera Mobilfunk for the politicians to establish suitable framework conditions and to offer support to enable further growth in rural areas.

Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH is a high-tech company that is firmly rooted in the countryside, with more than 200 members of staff at the site and which is continuing to grow. The Bundestag member, Johannes Schraps (SPD), along with state parliament member Ulrich Watermann (SPD) found out more about this when they visited the site on Friday, 13th April.

Since it was founded over 35 years ago, the company has called Bad Münder/Eimbeckhausen its home, and has just recently set up a state-of-the-art research and development center for more than 100 employees. CEO Matthias Klausing and Bernhard Klinger, VP Business Development, took their two guests on a guided tour through the premises, and showed them the company's latest products and system solutions. Johannes Schraps and Ulrich Watermann showed particular interest in Hytera's innovative hybrid solutions: The PTC760 and PDC760 multi-mode handheld radios.

The focus of the visit was also the request from Hytera Mobilfunk for the politicians to establish suitable framework conditions and to offer support to enable further growth in rural areas. In addition to an attractive place to work and an open corporate culture - as is the case at Hytera Mobilfunk - good infrastructure is also seen as essential in order to attract a highly qualified workforce to Eimbeckhausen.

"We have some vacancies that we would love to fill. We are continuously growing and want to further develop our site sustainable. So it is becoming increasingly important that we can also offer an attractive working environment," says Bernhard Klinger.

Hytera Mobilfunk as an important employer in the region

"There are a few points that you have to address when it comes to infrastructure. This includes transport links and expanding the broadband provision," Johannes Schraps agrees. "As a new Bundestag member, it is extremely important to me that I get to know the local companies well and take my impressions to Berlin where I can then be a good representative for the region. We have an incredible number of hidden champions in the region that are leaders in the technologies that they themselves have developed. This includes Hytera Mobilfunk. The company is an important employer in the region," says Johannes Schraps.
