Avtec Sponsoring Tours of Flight for Life Communications Center at APCO 2017

Receiving approximately 12,000 calls per year, the Flight for Life team works closely with 911 communications centers, EMS agencies, search and rescue groups, ski patrols, and medical facilities throughout Colorado.

Avtec Inc., the leading independent provider of mission-critical, pure Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) dispatch console systems, is sponsoring tours of Flight for Life’s communication center in Lakewood, Colorado as part of the 83rd Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Annual Conference and Expo in Denver,
Aug.12-13.

Avtec is sponsoring two separate tours – one to be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. MST, and another on Sunday, Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. MST. The tours will give APCO attendees a first-hand look at the communication center’s day-to-day operations. Same-day registration will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis at the information booth located in the lobby of the Colorado Convention Center.

Featuring Avtec VoIP dispatch console technology, Flight for Life’s communications center is staffed 24/7 with critical care specialists coordinating emergency responses by helicopter, fixed wing aircraft, critical care ambulances and life support ambulances.
