Zetron’s Advanced Communications system featuring the P25 Console Subsystem Interface leads the industry with over 3 Mio hours of successful operation at customer sites., including the 1st deployment utilizing the CSSI in a customer’s P25 Phase-II system.

Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions worldwide, announced that implementations of its Advanced Communications (AcomEVO) system utilizing the TIA Project 25 (P25) Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI) have logged more than 3 million hours of successful operation at customer sites throughout North and South America and Australia. This far exceeds the performance of any other CSSI-based dispatch console solution currently available.

Installations of Zetron’s AcomEVO using CSSI-based technologies have been implemented for:

  • Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Toronto Pearson International Airport, ON, Canada.
  • The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, ON, Canada.
  • The Cumberland County 9-1-1/Dispatch Center, Crossville, TN.
  • Polícia Civil (Civil Police), São Paulo, Brazil.
  • Ergon Energy, Queensland, Australia
  • Lancaster County-wide Communications, Lancaster, PA.
  • Mercer County Emergency Services Communications Center, Lawrenceville, NJ.

In addition, a 60-position AcomEVO system deployed at a public-safety communication center in New Jersey is the first in the industry to utilize the CSSI in a P25 Phase-II system.

“Exceeding 3 million hours of successful CSSI operation is a testament to the strength and consistency of our ongoing commitment to supporting P25 and other open standards,” said Zetron President and CEO, Ellen O’Hara. “But even more important are the implications this represents to customers. It ensures that they will have ever-increasing access to robust, open-standards-based solutions that deliver the improved interoperability, cross-system compatibility, and range of equipment choices they require to serve their communities effectively and on budget.”
As a leading proponent of P25, Zetron is committed to testing its radio dispatch systems with all CSSI radio infrastructure manufacturers. Zetron is well on its way toward achieving this goal, having completed successful testing with the following major manufacturers:

  • Motorola (Phase I and II)
  • Harris (Phase I and II)
