Simoco Appoints Gary Correia, VP for Americas Region

Gary Correia joins the group as Vice President, Americas with the remit to develop the radio system designer and manufacturer’s presence in North and South America.

Simoco, an established global player in the radio communications industry, has set out a strategy for further international expansion with the Americas region forming a key part of its immediate plans.

Correia, who has over 20 years’ experience with roles at EF Johnson, Harris and Tait, will drive further growth in this region with his initial responsibilities involving strengthening the local team with a number of new hires and demonstrating Simoco’s experience across sectors including public safety, utilities and transportation.

“It’s the right time to be joining Simoco – we are seeing the results of two years’ worth of significant investment in R&D and have a rich pipeline of new products and applications. This means that we have a strong proposition to take to the market. I know what this region wants from its radio systems and I’m confident that we can deliver innovative and cost effective options to partners and end customers.”

Simoco’s current range of products incorporates DMR, P25 and proprietary Xfin technologies with the company’s deployments including radio systems for Sedona Fire District, Bahrain Airport and the
Government of Malaysia.
