The company is pleased to announce that its industry-leading DMR technology has been chosen for the Royal Adelaide Show, run by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, on 5-14th September.

The order, which was secured through channel partner Up-Link Communications, based in Goolwa, South Australia involves the rental of Simoco Xd DMR Tier III technologies to South Australia’s biggest agricultural event, which attracts around half a million visitors each year.

Up-Link Communications will provide a complete end-to-end DMR solution including trunking infrastructure, specifically designed with an IP-connected architecture for resilience and ease of integration for business and mission critical users. In addition, 70 SDP660 portables from Up-Links’ newest addition to its rental fleet will also be supplied to help the 180+ event and management staff to improve their operations and efficiency across the entire site – and consequently improve the overall visitor experience.

“The Royal Adelaide Show has been extended from nine to ten days to celebrate the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia’s 175th anniversary, so they require a reliable communications network to support an even bigger event than in previous years,” said Andrew Stewart, owner of Up-Link Communications. “We therefore wanted to give the organisers the very best in open standards DMR trunking, which is why we selected Simoco’s Tier III Xd DMR network Infrastructure”.

“Working with Jason Hemmingway, the operations manager at the Adelaide Showground, we evaluated other suppliers’ products and, to us, working with Simoco was an obvious choice. We have been a Simoco channel partner for over 15 years, and its products have proven to be both resilient and user friendly, and are perfectly positioned to enable us to provide local and personalised support.”

“Securing reliable means of communications is fundamental to the overall visitor experience at the Royal Adelaide Show,” said Ian Carr, CEO at Simoco Group. “Being able to rent the latest equipment means that the organisers and staff will benefit from the best radio communications with no long term investment required.”
