Rohill to build large Polish TETRA network
Mission critical communications manufacturer Rohill will modernize TETRA infrastructuren in Poland. The highly reliable network can be compared to the Dutch C2000 Public Safety TETRA network.
Rohill will supply its TETRA equipment through its local partners Maxto and IP Connect.
The Maxto/IP Connect consortium offered a considerable cheaper deal within the European tender than the competition, consisting of a consortium including Motorola. The difference was more than 4 million zloty (€1 million). The value of the first phase of the project is over 4 million. The system will be delivered in the near future will exist up to 600 base stations and will connect the cities of Warsaw, Szczecin and Krakow via IP.
TetraNode
The current system that Polish police use is based on Motorola Dimetra IP 3.8, which has become obsolete. This system will be replaced by the latest Rohill TetraNode technology. The consortium will build the network within two hundred days. During this period, the current in use TETRA terminals from Motorola will continue to function.
