Critical Communications World 2014; Strong focus on TETRA, supported by LTE

This year’s event, opened by CEO Phil Kidner and Chairman Phil Godfrey of TCCA offered attendees the opportunity to network and learn with a truly global audience – 97 countries were represented at this year’s event.

During this years event, exhibitors showcased the latest products and solutions in the exhibition and the CCW conference discussed in detail the requirements and delivery options for Missions Critical Mobile Broadband. The key theme running throughout the event were how to examine how networks and services will evolve over the next 10 years.

To kick start the show, Phil Kidner and Phil Godfrey from the TCCA, gave a welcoming speech to eagerly awaiting attendees who were keen to get into the show and get their hands on the latest technologies and innovations on offer from the exhibitors. Attendees were also able to enjoy a welcoming drinks reception, with entertainment from Lions who danced through the exhibition.

There was also a full day of seminars, with sessions including A full introduction to TETRA, Planning for the future of Critical Communications, Implementing Next Generation In-Building Public Safety Networks using TETRA and LTE, MVNO Service for Critical Communications, Transportation and Critical Communications, the Evergreen Control Room and Planning the technical road map.

This year, ZTE attended the exhibition for the first time. The company showased their TETRA, DMR and LTE solutions for Mission Critical Communications. ZTE is currently is actively looking for distributors in every region around the globe. 

After years of not attending the CCW event, Teltronic showcased this year their smallest PMR grade TETRA radio and their LTE solution. The company will also be present again during next year's CCW 2015 in Barcelona.

Next year CCW will be held in Barcelona from the 19th until the 21st May.
