Celab enters agreement with Ringhals nuclear power plant

Celab Communications AB from Sweden has recently signed an agreement with Ringhals, a large nuclear power plant, to deliver a new TETRA communications system.

To further enhance the safety and efficiency of the plant, and after long planning and selection process the companyhave been chosen to update its current analogue systems.

The proposed scheme covers a TETRA - based multi-site solution with full redundancy.  The whole network will be built around world-leading infrastructure from Motorola Solutions and will ultimately also include operator stations with customized software .

- Ringhals is now implementing a comprehensive program where we are modernizing our telephone and radio communications, said Elenor Boatswain Head of IT Department at Ringhals nuclear power plant.

The system's first phase, the outdoor network, is scheduled to be completed in Q3 of this year. The whole network including building network will be completed during 2015.

The deal also means that Celab 's communications is now responsible for the communication of all the country's nuclear power plants. A fact which strengthens the company's position as a leading provider of mission critical communications.
