Motorola Solutions Foundation Contributes Toward Public Safety in Vietnam

949.5 million VND (US$45,000) for public safety education and recognition of first responders

HANOI, Vietnam - Motorola Solutions Inc. announce recently, through the charitable arm of the company, Motorola Solutions Foundation, announced contributions totaling 949.5 million VND (US$45,000) to two organizations in Vietnam with the aim of enhancing public safety and recognizing the sacrifice and dedication of brave first responders across the country.

The foundation’s contribution to the College of Logistics & Technology for People Police will be used to fund workshops on public safety. In addition, families of selected first responders across Vietnam will receive financial assistance through the foundation’s contribution to the Social Charity Fund’s Bravery Fund.

The contributions were officially presented to the respective organizations in a brief ceremony during the US-ASEAN Business Council meeting, held at the Ministry of Public Security and attended by Dang Van Hieu, deputy minister from the Ministry of Public Security Vietnam, representatives from MSI and recipient organizations.

  • The Motorola Solutions Foundation has been committed to empowering communities in which it operates in. Through these contributions, the Motorola Solutions Foundation collaborates with public safety agencies and charity organizations to foster programs that aim to improve public safety.
  • The contributions were awarded to:
    • The College of Logistics & Technology for People Police to fund three workshops titled, “Public Safety Knowledge Sharing Series – Understanding Mission Critical Communication Technologies.” The workshops will present the latest information on public safety communication to over 200 public safety communication officials.
    • The Social Charity Fund's Bravery Fund, in recognizing the efforts of brave first responders across Vietnam. The contribution of 316.5 million VND (US$15,000) will benefit families of these first responders through financial assistance in the form of new house construction, as well as cash, gifts or scholarships.
