Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (BFRS) has significantly upgraded their Incident Command unit’s (ICU) capabilities through the integration of state-of-the-art technologies, including a specialised Excell 4G LTE Optimisation antenna provided by Excelerate.

Already back in 2015, BFRS partnered with Excelerate to implement a cutting-edge ICU to enhance their emergency response capabilities. The success of this collaboration has led to the continued investment in the latest technologies to further strengthen their response capabilities.

The newly integrated Excell antenna that was recently installed optimises cellular reception and provides superior quality connectivity even in challenging environments.  Excell works by making a connection with network antennas over a much greater distance than traditional methods and significantly improves networks coverage and performance.

Dave Thexton, ICT Manager at Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service commented “Our priority is to continually improve our ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies. The integration of the Excell antenna into our ICU exemplifies our dedication to leveraging cutting-edge solutions for the safety of our community and the efficiency of our operations.”

Chief Operating Officer, Bethan Evans said “We are proud to support BFRS with new investments in their ICU. As new advancements in technology emerge, our commitment to empowering our customers with seamless and reliable communication capabilities continues, enabling them to make informed decisions in even the most challenging situations.”
