On Sunday, September 10, 2023, the operator of the nationwide public safety TETRA network in Germany, presented itself as an exhibitor at the 42nd Berlin Police Open Day.

Together with the Berlin Authorized Body, the BDBOS (Operator of the German Public Safety TETRA network) was again present at the Berlin Police Open Day. BDBOS employees provided information about the work of the authority and generally on the subject of digital radio.

Families in particular enjoyed  popular hands-on activities - the older visitors tested their knowledge with the BDBOS quiz, the little ones gave instructions over the radio on how to paint police motifs, deciphered radio messages with the help of the 'code breaker' or faced the challenges of the obstacle course.

A mobile TETRA base station and the measuring vehicle from AS Berlin complemented the joint appearance.

The Berlin police offered numerous activities and demonstrations - from the special operations team to the team of technical operations units, which simulated a rescue from dizzying heights, to the service dogs who demonstrated their skills.

Visitors to eight different theme parks were given insights behind the scenes and into the everyday work of Berlin's largest security agency.

The open day was all about being close to the citizens and getting involved. Several thousand visitors visited the event.
