Northcom and Nokia Accelerate Private 5G Deployment

Northcom Solutions, a Norwegian system integrator, has teamed up with Nokia to resell the Finnish company's Digital Automation Cloud (DAC), a private LTE and 5G solution, into crucial industrial sectors. The company with operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, has a proven track record of providing TETRA solutions, Industry 4.0 integration and advisory services to a variety of industries, including manufacturing, emergency services, and defense

As part of the collaboration, Northcom will offer private 5G solutions that are specifically tailored for industrial businesses and are based on the DAC bundle from Nokia. Unprecedented speed, dependability, and security will be provided by these technologies.

Although Northcom has been a member of Nokia's worldwide reseller program since the middle of 2020, the introduction of private 5G is a recent development.

Per Arne Kroken, Northcom's product manager, voiced his confidence in the alliance and noted that due to its experience in providing reliable communication and security solutions, the firm has earned the trust of the military, the police, and a number of other industries. Northcom seeks to co-create solutions that foster efficiency, creativity, and advancement by working directly with clients and utilizing Nokia's technologies.

Northcom's CTO, Robin Blomquist, expressed his enthusiasm for providing cutting-edge private wireless and networking technologies that enable crucial Nordic-wide communication. He stressed the significance of Industry 4.0 technologies like LTE and 5G, which are simple to scale and adapt to changing requirements.

For its DAC solution, Nokia has formalized system-integrator ties with numerous companies, including as Accenture, Atos, DXC Technology, IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro.
