ANPR Stingray
Futronics, market leaders in fully integrated systems andapplication designs, for commercial and governmentagencies, have developed the only Home Office approvedadvanced mobile ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Reader)system for the DVLA.
The Stingray II - UVD (Unlicensed Vehicle Detector) hasbeen developed to help enforce vehicle excise duty inGreat Britain.
The system is capable of working day or night with vehiclespeeds in excess of 100mph. Vehicle registration plates canbe read and checked against 23 million records a second,and if matched, digital video images are captured andencrypted, with exact locations (GPS), time and date,to two CD Roms simultaneously.
Stingray II - UVD is only one of the many cutting edgeproducts the Futronics Group has developed. We arecurrently working with the Home Office, Police Forcesand the DVLA on innovative products to fight crime.
