Soverign Systems Teams up with ATEK on PTT Mesh Critical Communications Solutions

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

Soverign Systems announced that the company is partnering wiht ATEK, an Australian based company that offers a wide range of equipment and services to assist its clients in the technical aspects of national security, counter terrorism, law enforcement and public safety, to bring the PTT Mesh radio to the MilCIS 2022 event in Canbarra, Australia.

The PTT Mesh is the world's smallest, truly hand-held IP Mesh radio and is quickly gaining acceptance as the most affordable IP Mesh radio on the market. With integrated Wi Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and an LCD display to set-up and dynamically alter configurations on the fly, there has never been an easier to use IP Mesh radio.

New ultra-narrow bandwidths deliver outstanding range and RF performance, especially in challenging non-line-of-sight conditions.

Earlier this year Soverign Systems participated at trials in the UK with the Ministry of Defence, and Italy, with the Italian Special Forces. The tested Mesh radios provided connectivity for the C4i Systems mobile command centre, allowing rapid deployment and ease of set up. Live video streams and integration of the system components was achieved with the AD HOC MANET pop-up network, without deploying any infrastructure or cable systems. The integral Wi Fi access point on each  Mesh radio allowed WiFi cameras to connect to the Mesh network at LOS distances up to 90 metres from the radio.
