5G for PPDR and Public Safety AI 'Hot Topics' for Upcoming PSCE Conference

On 12 and 13 December 2018, a PSCE conference successfully took place in Bled, Slovenia. The conference was collocated with three workshops addressing topics as varied as social media and crowdsourcing for disaster management, cross-border interoperability and 5G for PPDR.

Throughout the conference some of the hottest topics in public safety communications were addressed, including; practitioners training and education, smart communications and preparedness against wildfires.

The PSCE Conference and workshops brought together around 150 participants including public safety practitioners, policymakers, academic researchers, industrial experts and other interested stakeholders.

Through a live survey, conducted during the event, participants were asked to choose important themes for the next PSCE Conference. The below topics will be discusses during the upcoming PSCE conference:

  • Citizen Alerting Mechanisms (Reverse 112)
  • Cross-Border Cooperation
