Hytera Showcases TETRA and DMR Tier III Trunking Solutions at BAPCO 2012

The DS6210 DMR Trunking infrastructure was connected to the Control Server in Hytera Slough office through the IP network for on-site demonstration. Operators remotely monitored and controlled the system through the Hytera NMS & Dispatching software.

From April 16 to 17, the 2012 BAPCO (British Association of Public Safety Communications Officers) exhibition & development sessions were hold at Manchester Central, Manchester, UK. Hytera was present at this event with complete digital communications solutions to public safety users.

It was the first time for Hytera to showcase TETRA and DMR Tier III trunking solutions in the UK. The ACCESSNET-T TETRA infrastructure & PT580H portable radio serves the public safety professionals with superior encryption capability & waterproof features. Both the infrastructure and the terminals support TEA2 encryption, while the PT580H portable is also IP67 level water & dust-proof. Hytera also introduced new digital series, including TETRA intrinsically safe & covert portable radios, DMR covert portable radio X1e, DMR intrinsically safe portable radio PD79X Ex, and DMR portable repeater.

For the applications, Hytera presented its own SmartDispatch solution for DMR conventional system, as well as the multi-platform dispatcher from Capita. The SmartDispatch solution provides GPS tracking function & AVL dispatching on the digital map. The multi-platform dispatcher supports radios from different suppliers and different technologies, for example, connecting TETRA handset with GSM cell phone or DMR radios.
