ASTRID Validates First Hybrid Radios

ASTRID the operator of the public safety communications network in Belgium has validated its frist hybrid radios, the Airbus Tactilon Dabat and Sepura SC20

The hybrid radio Airbus Tactilon Dabat and the combination of Sepura SC20 with Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 have been validated for use on the ASTRID network.

With these hybrid solutions, end users of the Belgian public safety network are now able to communicate via the ASTRID network as well as using internet applications.

They will be be able to order the validated devices via the framework agreement, in particular lot 9 ('TETRA radio also smartphone with built-in 4G modem in 1 device') and lot 10 ('TETRA radio connected with ruggedised smartphone with built-in 4G modem in 2 devices).

Other hybrid devices listed in lots 9 and 10 have not yet been validated and cannot be ordered yet.
