C2000 Network Benefits from New TETRA Repeater Development

As a standard repeater does not meet the specific C2000 special coverage locations requirements, Koning & Hartman and SEE Telecom introduce a new repeater supporting efficient and reliable TETRA communications.

The C2000 network is the national public safety communication network in The Netherlands. In buildings, where users of the C2000 network are located, it is crucial that communication works 24/7. The lack of the required indoor coverage can lead to undesirable and sometimes dangerous situations.

C2000 sets very specific connection requirements for C2000 equipment for the so-called Special Coverage Locations (SCL). Because a standard TETRA repeater does not meet these specific requirement, Koning & Hartman, in close cooperation with SEE Telecom, has developed a C2000 repeater that does meet this requirement.

This new C2000 repeater is very cost efficient and has been developed for locations where the C2000 covarege needs to be increased. This powerful solution ensures that the C2000 signal is supplied without any problems to the installed antenna system in the building. The repeater can also be fully controlled remotely, for example from the Remote Service Center of Koning & Hartman.

The C2000 repeater was put into use for the first time in a building complex where indoor coverage was necessary and a large number of users that depend on the C2000 network on a daily basis. By applying the repeater solution, users are provided with a perfect and stable connection in every corner of the building.
