Motorola Solutions has announced Michael Kaae as regional vice president of sales for Europe.

Kaae, who has over 20 years of technology sales leadership experience, will lead Motorola Solutions’ direct government and commercial sales business across Europe, including Russia. In his position, he will be responsible for the company’s go-to-market strategy as well as sales and business development across the region.

Kaae has been with Motorola Solutions for over 10 years, holding key roles within the sales organisation, including vice president sales for Northern and Eastern Europe. He is an experienced sales expert with a strong track record of driving successful business strategies and fostering long-lasting customer relations in the IT industry.

In his new role, Kaae will further expand Motorola Solutions’ position as technology leader in Europe. In today's changing environment, public safety and commercial customers need to increase efficiency and handle complex data volumes to provide a faster response. By supporting public safety organisations and enterprises to modernise their mission-critical infrastructure and communication solutions, Motorola Solutions is a trusted partner to lead first responders into the future.

“I’m excited to continue expanding our sales business in Europe and strengthening our role as a true provider of mission-critical, end-to-end solutions,'' said Kaae. “With more than 90 years of pioneering groundbreaking communication solutions, Motorola Solutions is uniquely positioned in the market. Our comprehensive, global expertise enables us to help our customers tackle the increasing requirements for efficient and reliable mission-critical communications and operations.”

Based in Denmark, Michael Kaae also held the position as country manager for Denmark, where the company has a strong footprint, with more than 50 years of long-standing relationships with the Danish blue light organisations and commercial customers. Motorola Solutions in Denmark was one of the first initiators of the TETRA standard, and it was heavily involved in the development of the standard used by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). In Denmark, Motorola Solutions is the provider of the nationwide TETRA radio system SINE (SIkkerhedsNEttet) that has been the communications backbone of Danish emergency services for more than 10 years. The TETRA-based network guarantees highly reliable communication for police, rescue services and parts of the defence force through a dedicated, highly resilient and secure network.
