Over 40 Zetron employees are volunteering their time and/or making donations to the Shoot for the Stars event.

Zetron, recently announced details for the company’s annual Shoot for the Stars charity golf tournament and auction. All proceeds from the event go directly to the Behind the Badge Foundation, an organization supporting the agencies, families, and communities of law enforcement officers that are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.

Now in its ninth year, Shoot for the Stars has consistently grown each year and is now the largest public safety charity golf tournament in the region. The event has raised nearly $200,000 for the Behind the Badge Foundation to date, including a record-setting event in 2018 that netted over $35,000.

This year’s event will take place on September 10th at The Golf Club at Newcastle in Newcastle, WA, where various law enforcement representatives, business leaders, sponsors, donors, and local professional sports celebrities including Nesby Glasgow, Slick Watts, Alonzo Mitz, and Randall Morris, will participate in the tournament followed by a live auction emceed by David Rose of Q13 Fox News and host of Washington’s Most Wanted, and entertainment will be provided by Michael Wansley (Wanz), best known for his work with Grammy award-winning musical artist Macklemore.

“In partnership with Zetron, the Shoot for the Stars event has grown to be an extremely important funding source for the support we provide to families of law enforcement that have to deal with the unthinkable,” said Vicky Stormo, Executive Director for the Behind the Badge Foundation. “Zetron continues to share our passion and commitment for helping the families of our everyday heroes that make the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect us all.”

Once again, the event was sold out months in advance and Zetron is expecting yet another record braking year of funds raised in 2019.

“Shoot for the Stars is more than a golf tournament and auction,” said Brent Dippie, President and CEO of Zetron. “Passion for improving the ability of public safety agencies to perform their critical work is deeply engrained in Zetron’s culture, so the opportunity to help families of those on the front lines that give so much is something our team and partners ardently support every year.”

Over 40 Zetron employees are volunteering their time and/or making donations to the Shoot for the Stars event. The event would also not be possible without the many corporate sponsors that team with Zetron to make the event a success. This year’s Super Elite and Elite level sponsors include GeoConex, Sealevel Systems, Autel Robotics, JVCKenwood, Directors Mortgage, FirstNet, Dell Technologies, Avanti Markets, Alaska Airlines, Tait Communications, and RACOM.
