Comba Telecom, Inc. , a global leading wireless solutions provider, today announced that their Public Safety 700/800MHz Fiber DAS product line has received UL 2524 standards certification for In-building 2-Way Emergency Radio Communications Enhancement Systems.

Comba’s DAS units meet the UL 2524 strict standards to address the safety, reliability, and operational requirements of ERRCS (Emergency Responder Radio Communications System) equipment prior to installation. Additionally Comba’s fiber DAS Master and Remote Units were tested together with Comba’s previously UL 2524 standards certified BBUs (Battery Backup Unit) to be shown as tested as a system; meaning system integrators and AHJs can rest assured that when Comba’s units are installed in the field together they fully meet and comply with the UL 2524 standard.

SGS Labs, North America, an OSHA approved NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Lab) administered the tests according to the UL 2524 standards and certified the Fiber DAS units as meeting the UL 2524 standards. Additionally, SGS is currently the only OSHA approved NRTL to certify manufacturers products to the UL 2524 standard.
