Airbus opens subsidiary in the Slovakian capital to support Ministry of Interior projects and related activities.

Airbus has been a partner since 1998 and provides Tetrapol technology for SITNO; the national digital radio communication network and infrastructure, used daily by the forces of the Slovak Republic.

Moreover, the company is currently supporting the modernization of the critical-communications network as local support services which will ensure the continuity of essential voice communications services while allowing the orderly introduction of new data applications thanks to Airbus’ Tactilon Agnet collaborative application.

“I am very proud to announce the opening of our new offices. This is part of a long-term growth strategy which brings us closer to our customers. They will now be able to receive dedicated support and talk to Airbus employees who are at hand and speak the local language” explains Philippe Devos, Head of Sales for Slovak Republic for Secure Land Communications at Airbus.

“This step is going to strengthen our position across the country, targeting growth in the defense and security sectors, as well as in the helicopter domain. We are also delighted to be able to contribute to the industrial ecosystem and employment” Jacques Garrigue, Airbus International Vice President for Central Europe, adds.

The ‘Airbus Slovakia’ office is situated in Bratislava and currently employs 6 people.
